Jan had to say...

I live in northwest Florida (Pensacola) and lost my  favorite used book stores to Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and Hurricane Dennis in 2005.  I am so very glad that I found this site.  I've now been a PBS member for over two years, and I've received so many wonderful books that I was unable to find at local used book stores.

I really like historical fiction especially European settings such as England or Scotland.  And I'm also partial to romantic suspense.

If you order a book from me, I usually mail it out the next day.  Although my home is non-smoking and has no pets, most of my books are from other PBS members so I cannot vouch for their history.

And if I'm away from home for 48 hours or longer, I put my account on Vacation Hold.  Otherwise, I log on to my account daily.

I have the following free books that have slight damage and are essentially unpostable.  Choose a freebie with any order from my bookshelf.

A HEART FOR THE TAKING by Shirlee Busbee.  ISBN 0-446-60218-3. Published Sept. 1997.  A few wavey pages, probably due to high humidity, but in fine condition otherwise.

SHEIK by Connie Mason 0-8439-4328-9 Paperback, 1997. Former Library book, with library name stamped top & bottom of pages edges and library sticker at bottom of spine. Has a 2 1/2" Due Date sticker attached inside the stepback (the illustrated second front cover). Some page yellowing but completely intact and totally readable.

KISSED by Tanya Anne Crosby   0-380-77681-2 Paperback, 1995. Four pages have small (1/2") tears in the pages' edges. Otherwise, totally readable, excellent appearance.

THE WICKED ONE by Danelle Harmon   Paperback, 2001.  Small one-inch section torn away at bottom of book's spine, but expertly taped.  Otherwise in superb condition.  0-380-80909-5

DRAW DOWN THE DARKNESS by Naomi Bellis. ISBN 978-0-451-22095-0  Paperback, published April, 2007.  Stains (looks like red felt marking pen) along upper edges of the book's pages.  Completely readable.

THE NOTEBOOK   by Nicholas Sparks    ISBN 0-446-60523-9 Paperback, 1996. From used book store with stamp inner front cover and bottom of pages edges. Actually meets PBS guidelines and is postable, but offering as freebie.

THE PURSUIT by Johanna Lindsey.  ISBN 0-380-81430-3, mmpb, Published April 2003.  Smart looking, hardly used paperback; has several very sharp creases and an expertly-taped small tear in the front cover.

GYPSY LORD by Kat Martin.  ISBN 0-312-92878-5, mmpb, published Sept. 1992.  Great condition with only one flaw:  small torn or cut out section at center top of front cover; missing piece is 1" wide by 1/2" deep.

NEVER SEDUCE A SCOUNDREL, by Sabrina Jeffires.  IBBN 1-4165-1608-5, mmpb.  Published March 2006.  Great reading condition except for wavy pages; probably extremely high humidity since there are no water or liquid stains.

THE UNLIKELY ANGEL by Betina Krahn. ISBN 0-553-56524-9.  Small stains along top edges of pages, just barely on the edges.  Completely readable; cover and pages in great condition.

BORDER HOSTAGE, by Virginia Henley.  ISBN 0-440-22210-9.  Paperback, printed March 2002.  Great condition except the first 25 pages are wavey, indicative of moisture/water exposure.   Perfectly readable.
